NY-29 Congressional Candidate will run as write-in Candidate

Volk Will Run as Write-In Candidate

Janice Volk (R-Cuba, NY) announces today that she will continue her fight for the NY-29th Congressional District as a write-in candidate. The slogan of her campaign will be: Don’t write me off, Write me in! Volk said, “I choose to move forward with my candidacy because I do not see a viable Republican/Conservative candidate running in this Congressional District.” Volk continues, “I believe that it is my moral duty to give the voters of this district a real choice in November.”

Volk adds, “Constituents all over NY-29 have asked me to continue my Congressional run and I choose to do so. There appears to be real resentment toward any candidate who is running with an establishment party such as Democrat or Republican. Those who are tired of politics as usual can take a stand and write in my name on the ballot. A vote for me is a vote against Big Government and the Political Machine,” said Volk.

The Volk Campaign points to Indiana’s 9th Congressional District and Georgia’s 12th Congressional District. Both of these Congressional Districts have candidates who are running as write-ins. “We do have one thing working in our favor, due to the recent ballot reform, writing in a candidate’s name is very easy,” Volk said. “The new ballot configuration allows voters to simply write my name at the bottom of the ballot,” adds Volk.

Volk’s Manager, Joseph Bassage said, “We collected many signatures for the Tea Party Line from voters all over the district and we were up late into the night counting signatures. However, in the end, we did not have the manpower to be all over this vast district in just 10 days. As a result, we were unable to collect the required 3,500 signatures to secure a place on the ballot.” Bassage continued, “We are disappointed in the outcome but we worked as hard as humanly possible. I could not be more proud for what this campaign has accomplished thus far.”
